No they are waiting to buy a new home in Valencia Cove in Palm Beach County.  $ 35 million dollars worth of as yet unbuilt homes were sold in just 2 hours.  There was even a lottery for the choicest home sites, also called a lot premium.

The real estate market here is hotter than during the boom of the early 2000's.  This past weekend I attended  an open house on Sunday at a home that had just been put on the market Saturday evening.  There were 7 showings, 4 offers and 1 above the asking price.  I was at another open house were 70 people came the house sold the first day.  Inventory levels are very low and there is practically panic buying.  In some of our most popular communities homes sell in a matter of hours.  If you put your house on the market in one of these communities you better have moving boxes in the garage.  West of town in Jupiter Farms there number of homes on the market has risen but so have the prices.  The least expensive house is now $ 210,000.

Landscaping improves coastal US One near Jupiter

Jupiter and the surrounding area are blessed with a perfect climate for tropical landscaping. Homes for sale in this area are often described as having "lush landscaping" and nearly everything grows well here.

We used to have plenty of citrus trees too until the State decided to cut them down to stop the spread of citrus canker.

I found this group of landscapers hard at work near the ocean the other day.  They were working near the Jupiter Yacht Club along US One.

74 new homes sell in just 2 hours

Things are definitely picking up in the Palm Beach real estate market.  The Palm Beach Post reported that home prices in March were up 28% over a year ago.  And in February, home prices were up 27% year over year.  Now here is some staggering news on new home sales.

Boynton Beach is located in southern Palm Beach county and GL Homes is building a community there called Valencia Cove.   The homes are priced between $300,000-$ 600,000.  Last week they held a grand opening.

They sold 73 pre-construction homes in 2 hours as other buyers competed in a lottery style drawing for the premium lots.  The total of all these sales was about $ 35 million.

Here in Jupiter we have a few new construction projects underway.  Remember, if you are considering a new home, it will never cost you more to use a Realtor to represent you but it may cost you not to!

Jupiter is known for its oceanfront living and no community is better situated than Olympus which is located between US One and the ocean.  A new home on the lake just came on the market.

Turtle Creek, a Tequesta country club community, is known for it's Martin County location and great golf course.  A new, 4 bedroom, 3 bath pool home just came on the market there.
